Biography

Rossella Riboldi was born in Monza on 1960. She has a degree in Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, Rossella is professor of drawing and art history at the Liceo Scientifico P. Frisi of Monza. She is mosaicist and speaker at conferences of art.

Rossella feels the art-work as installation, as "costruction". Her aim is to exalt matter as sensory communication media. Rossella has a strong sense of belonging to the real world ( animals, objects, places, fondnesses, things ). She thinks that the process of composition is the first charming aspect of the artistic creation. Matching some different plugs allows to fragment the work and to access to imaginary. It allows to recycle thinks that have a lively background. This backgrounds enrich the art-work of "stories" and they can have a new life.

In recent years Rossella Riboldi collaborated with Renato Arrobbio and the Studio Arteglass and she ttook part to exhibitions, fairs, conventions, prizes, with works recommended and exhibited in museums in Italy and abroad.

Art Direction's Advice
Art Gallery Third Millennium

This work exalts the sense of matter. The reuse and the collection of junk materials is one of the most recent innovations of technology but it was preceded by the imaginary of the artists with the "arte povera" from the end of sixties. They heralded what will be a need of mankind.

Rossella Riboldi makes a balanced composition of glass plugs of different measures from negative production of glassware that is something that has a particular perspective.

This perspective, broken, annihilated, and rejected from handicraft production becomes the semantic core of the Rossella's works. This perspective becomes the Morse alphabet of her creation with which fractures and multiplies the concept of complexity. This is the core motivation of Rossella.

The semantic and formal complexity where is hidden the meaning of real life.
