Artistic Direction's Advice
Art Gallery III Millennium

Work shown by Iva Milanova is very significant about hers actual vocational training and hers artistic research. References to the Iconography production of East Europe are remarkable: the poses are hieratic and the face's expressions are into a serene atmosphere, and of mystic dignity.

Nevertheless there is other: You can feel very personal expressionist influences in the very strong way the artist uses colors and in the stroke's violence; besides that you can understand into features the charm that ancient roman paint exerts on the Milanova's sensitivity.

All these components, that seem to be loose, are joined from the harmonious creation of artist: the ancient roman echoes are mixed with the eastern religious tradition and the whole is metabolized from a personal expressionist inspiration. The result is a strong and dense work, at the same time, light a refined. Contents reveal passion for life and hope for human's harmony, an universal message.
